

Jacquelyn Causey Elder, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in a local hospital. A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Thursday, December 10 at 11 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church, with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating and Rev. Mike Fuller assisting. The family will greet friends beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Jacquelyn was born in Macon to the late John C. and Lillie Mae Mosely Causey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. James Charles Elder, Sr., and her son, George Christopher “Chris” Elder, Sr. Jacquelyn was the organist at First Baptist Church in Conyers and recently a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, James “Jimmy” (Roxann) Charles Elder, Jr. of Columbus and Jerry (Phyllis) Elder of Macon; daughter-in-law, Susan Elder of Columbus; grandchildren, J. C. (Katherine) Elder, John Christopher Elder, Philip (Catie) Eisel-Elder, Nathan (Angela) Elder, George Christopher Elder, Jacquelyn Elder; six great-grandchildren, Ava, Jackson, and Drew Elder, C. J. Eisel-Elder, Noah Elder, and Levi Elder.
