James J. Norris

James J. Norris, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Leland C. Collins will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon 31201.

Mr. Norris, son of the late Jim Toliver Norris and Essie Belle Norris, was a self-employed building contractor and was a member of Swift Creek United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Sue Norris of Macon; his daughters, Melisa Evans and Cindy (Barney) Holley, all of Macon; his sons, Rick Norris and Gary Norris, both of Macon; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and his sister, Pearl Thomas of Crawford County.
