

Jean Hyatt Dodge passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014. A cryptside service will be held on Sunday, March 16 at 2 p.m. at Camellia Mausoleum at Riverside Cemetery with the Deacon Walter Skinner officiating. A visitation will be held at the residence immediately following the service. The family requests that donations be made to the Children’s Hospital at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, 777 Hemlock Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Mrs. Dodge was born in Nutley, New Jersey and was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte J. Bennett Hyatt and Elias D. Hyatt and her husband, Richard Harvey Dodge. She was retired as a supervisor from Aetna Life Insurance Company and was the former CFO of Noah’s Ark Pet Store, Inc. She was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, Lodge # 3724, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and St. Francis Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Dodge is survived by her children, Richard H. Dodge, Jr. of Macon, Janine Dodge Keene of Macon, and Thomas H. Dodge of Jacksonville, FL.; grandchildren, Alan B. Keene of Macon, H. Alishea Keene of Navarre Beach, FL, Richard J. T. Keene of Macon, Richard H. Dodge of Jacksonville, FL, and Mary Jean Dodge of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Carolyn M. Dodge and son-in-law, Frank G. Murphy; and four great-grandchildren.
