Jean McDaniel Gillon, 86, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, April 21 at 11 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Asbell officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Vineville United Methodist Church, 2045 Vineville Avenue, Macon, 31204.
Jean was born in Macon to the late Henry Van and Mabel Hall McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gillon. Jean was a homemaker and received her Bachelors Degree in French from Mercer University. She was a member of Vineville United Methodist Church and of the Jones-Bayne Sunday School Class. Jean was a 1947 graduate of A. L. Miller High School and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tom; and several nieces and nephews.
