
MACON – Jean Hope Thompson Deese, 83, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Madison Street Gate. The Rev. Jesse Richardson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home and suggests that those who wish make memorial contributions to Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210.
Mrs. Deese, wife of the late Walter Holland Deese, Jr., was born in Fayetteville, TN the daughter of the late Charlie C. and Minnie Lou Isom Thompson. She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and was a devoted homemaker. Mrs. Deese was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Harrison and Kathryn Fischer and her brother, Owen Thompson.
Survivors include her daughters, Dianne (Malcolm) Niedner of Greenbelt, MD and Alice Deese of Macon; her sons, Russell (Tina) Deese and Alan (Julie) Deese, both of Macon; five grandchildren, Charles Niedner, Abigail Deese, Holly Deese, Madison Deese and Olivia Deese; her sister, Jackie Horde of Knoxville, TN and a number of nieces and nephews.
