Jennifer Leigh “Jenny” Johns, 44, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 22, 2021 after a very courageous battle with breast cancer. A Celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road. Burial will be private at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Mills officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys and Girls Club, 277 Martin Luther King Blvd., Suite 202, Macon GA 31201 or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Jenny was born in Hazlehurst, Georgia and lived in Macon most of her life. She was a graduate of Tattnall Square Academy class of 1995 and Macon State College with her Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. She worked for Cadence Bank for the last 15 years, with her last position being the Assistant Branch Manager at the Walnut Street location. Jenny was a dear friend to so many people and was blessed to be surrounded by her close friends, Amy, Danielle, Jenny A. and Bess and her loving family at the very moment she met Jesus!
Jenny was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephew and an amazing cat mom to her precious kitties, Lucy and Oscar. Jenny was a lover of all things fashion and beauty and never passed up an opportunity to go shopping.
She is survived by her mother, Pam P. Johns of Macon, father, Robert G. Johns of Macon, sister, Shelley (Jason) Smith of Macon, nieces, Sydney and Ally Aitkens and nephew, Cooper Smith all of Macon, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
