John Haywood Cummings, 79, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday in the Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery. Nephews, Garry Cummings and Terry Cummings will officiate. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon 31201.
Mr. Cummings was born in Macon the son of the late Louise Stallings Cummings and Charles Clarence Cummings, Sr. He was retired from Oconee National Park and was a United States Navy veteran.
Mr. Cummings is survived by his brothers, Raymond Alfred Cummings (Mattie B.) of Macon, Charles C. Cummings, Jr. (Ollie) of Gray.
