HAWKINSVILLE - of 34 Pine Level Drive, died Tuesday, November 12, 2024. Graveside services will be held in the Orange Hill Cemetery in Hawkinsville at the W. A. Jennings family plot on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Father Paulinus Okpala will officiate.
Mr. Drake-Jennings was born in Savannah, Georgia, was a graduate of Bolles High School in Jacksonville, Florida, a graduate of The Juilliard School of Music in New York and received his doctorate degree in music from Benedetto Marchello in Venice, Italy. He had lived in Hawkinsville for most of his life and was the son of the late John Cameron and Matra Drake Jennings. Mr. Drake-Jennings was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was the last Marquis de Monte Ferra, a Papel Knight of St. Gregory The Great, a Knight Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, a Knight of Malta, a Gentleman to His Holiness the Pope.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to the Juilliard School of Music, 60 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, New York, 10023-6588.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, 746 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201 is in charge of arrangements.
