Julius “Leon” Gurley, 69, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street with Reverend Paul Dziadul officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216. The family will greet friends from 1:00PM until service time on Wednesday.
Leon was born in Opelika, AL and was a proud veteran of The United States Army. Leon loved his family and cherished his grandson, Damon. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Leon’s greatest passion was taking care of his family.
He was preceded in death by one sister. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Stewart; daughter, Vanessa Jarvis (Jarvis); grandson, Damon Jarvis; and extended family and friends.
