Dr. Karen Konke, age 69, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Karen was born August 7, 1952, the daughter of the late Dolores Virginia Graczyk Konke and Edward John Konke and was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Konke, nephew, Christopher Kandalec. Funeral services will be private for family only. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 131 Ward Street, Macon 31201.
Karen was a retired principal of the Bibb County School Systems for over 19 years. She was an active member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and received her Bachelors Degree from Ball State University and her Masters Degree from Purdue University and her Doctorate from The University of Georgia.
Karen is survived by her siblings, Julianne Kandalec of Macon and John Edward Konke, Sr. (Tina) of Valparaiso, Indiana; nieces and nephews, David Kandalec (Lisa), Eric Kandalec (Jen), Jessica DePriest (Eric), John Konke (Stefanie); and Kaylan Hutchinson (Junior).
