Larry Eugene Lee, 63, died Friday, February 5, 2021 due to complications from COVID 19. Services will be private on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church and burial at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. John Kinser and Rev. Chip Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Day School, Softball Fund in memory of Larry Lee., 5671 Calvin Drive, Macon GA 31210. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at First Presbyterian Day School Softball Field.
Larry was born in Bremen, Georgia to the late Arvella Bearden Lee and William Emsley Lee. He was raised in Perry, Florida. He graduated from Taylor High School and Valdosta State College. He worked for over twenty years in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently with Astra Zeneca. He will be remembered as the bass player and vocalist of the Grapevine Band and a community softball coach at First Presbyterian Day School. Larry knew no strangers and was known for his deep love of the Lord, love for his family and his friends. He leaves behind an amazing legacy of love and care for all the people that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Leslie Lee, children, Chandler Lee, Mike Girardeau (Erica), Jenna Rumford (Steven), Sarah (John) Wright, Tate (Aynsley) Girardeau, grandchildren, Mary Grace Girardeau, Walker Girardeau, GW Wright, Haddon Rumford, Lucy Kate Wright, Luke Rumford, Sadie Wright and Daxton Girardeau; his mother, Licia Lee; brothers, Barry (Sally) Lee and Donnie Lee.
