Incredibly saddened to hear of Leo's passing.  I knew Leo in high school when we were young silly kids that listened to punk music and hung out outside the movie theater.  Leo was always trying to make you laugh or smile.  We stopped running in the same social circles but I was glad to see him in the hallways of Ortho Georgia.  It felt like I was able to keep tabs on his safety despite being out of touch.  My heart goes to Leo's mom.   Praying for each of you.  

We have wonderful memories of time spent with Leo, Lea, Garry, and Jason from the years we lived in Macon. Leo always added a great dimension of fun and laughter. Knowing there are no words to ease the pain of such a deep and tender loss, we send our love, prayers, and most sincere sympathy to you all.

I will forever be thankful to you for showing me that it is real… for loving me the way you did…. And for the connection that we shared.  You sir were my person.

It was never a dull moment with Leo! He always found a way to brighten your day- with his colorful sense of humor. His big heart, full of compassion. His willingness to help others, his way of making them feel comfortable, safe. You wouldn’t find him slacking off at work, eager to lend a helping hand and expand his knowledge! Let’s not forget his passion for cooking: his famous chicken nugz (nuggets) and anything else he cooked was delicious!
He taught us how to be expert “Shark Teeth Hunters” at the beach and the river shores; waking in the early morning to go watch the sun rise, going camping and canoeing down the Suwannee River, exploring for new camp sites and swimming in the springs, teaching the boys how to fish, teaching Emilio how to make his infamous nugz, and helping Emilio with his tie for his band recital.  He encouraged them to do things out of their comfort zone and praised them for their accomplishments; Leo’s love for animals: Sheera and Marquis (A.K.A. Marcus). 
My boys and I have reminisced on all the fond memories w Leo. We will cherish those moments with him and we feel blessed to have been a part of his life. He will never be forgotten! 
Praying for peace and comfort to everyone who was a part of his life: family, friends… 
Truly heartbreaking. Remember Leo as he would have liked: Funny, goofy, loving, heart of gold! “Pow”- his famous catch phrase when he did something astonishing, a victory or when he made a witty come back! We love you Leo.

I met Leo when he started working at the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute.  From day 1 we became really close and never strayed from that. The true definition of my partner in crime at work. We were the same age so we had so many commonalities that just made it so easy to get along. We worked together each and every day for almost 4 years. There was never a dull moment. After he moved back to Macon we still kept in touch and would text old memories to each other. Leo was always ready with a joke and a smile because he thought his own joke was funny! And most of the time they were! I'm gonna miss the random texts but I will always remember the times we had. I went to work today, and everywhere I looked I could see him and remember things that happened. It was bittersweet to say the least. 
Miss you bro! Your family is in my prayers. 

The beach was one of Leo’s favorite places to visit.  Watching the sun rise, listening to the waves crashing, searching for sharks teeth.

He was like a son to me he always had a beautiful smile to greet me every morning, he was my earthly ANGEL and now I know he’s in Heaven watching over me as one of my HEAVENLY  ANGELS . Leo was such a bright star. I worked with him at Ridgeview Institute. I always new when Leo was working we would have a great shift.  He will be missed. RIP. Shelley Boggus

Leo, you were one of a kind. You always knew how to make us laugh with your gift of humor. Even when you claimed you were my second choice to assist on my surgery, you told me you would be honored to take care of me and still managed to keep me laughing when I was scared and nervous, yet my only recollection was you holding my hand and telling me" You're In Good Hands.........we will take excellent care of you"
Rest easy and keep em laughing for us Leo, you're in Good Hands now my friend. 

Leo was my first “real” boyfriend. My first “real” kiss. Naturally we drifted apart but we always remained close. He has been there for me on and off throughout my entire life, the most meaningful in my early 20s. We reconnected when he moved back to Macon a few years ago. He was looking for a place to take his nephew fishing, and the offered the pond in our house. I was excited to know that he would take me up on my offer! This just shows the relationship that we had. I am heartbroken for you guys. He was one of the most special people I have ever met in my life. Truly a gentleman. 

Stunned! We loved that man when he was a little boy bringing his wubby/blankie over when he spent the nights at our house. My John and I taught many of Conor’s friends how to play poker. Leo was the funniest and we teased him about his “tell” of rubbing the blankie when he had a good hand.  I mean this when I say he was the sweetest of Conor’s little childhood friends. What a loss and I hope my John and him are playing some poker together soon. Gosh. I love y’all. Lots of prayers for you all.   ~Kathleen 

Leo was my first best friend. My memories of swimming in the pool and playing Super Nintendo far past our young bed times will persist with me forever.  
These words are woefully inadequate to express my sympathy, but I truly am sorry for your loss.
