

MACON – Madelyn Bloxom Fennelly, 90, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 at a local nursing care facility. A memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Highland Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. James Dant officiating.
Mrs. Fennelly, daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie Groton Bloxom, was born in Accomack County on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She was a graduate of Strayer College in Washington, DC and was an administrative assistant retired from financial counseling. Mrs. Fennelly was formerly a member of the First Baptist Church of Pocomoke City, Md., and most recently a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church, where she was active in the life of her church. She also served as a volunteer with the Friends of the Library.
Survivors include her son, Laurence W. Fennelly of Macon; her daughter-in-law, Wanda M. Eanes; her grandchildren, Thomas Eanes-Fennelly, Joseph Eanes-Fennelly and Elizabeth Eanes-Fennelly, all of Macon and Marie Eanes-Fennelly of Pittsburgh, Penn.
