Marion Jones Chapman

MACON – Marion Jones Chapman, 90, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will be private for family only in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. Rev. Ron Holland will officiate. The family will greet friends from 2:00 until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers they requests that donations be made to Laurel Baye Health Care of Macon, 505 Coliseum Drive, Macon 31217 or John Wesley Villas, 5471 Thomaston Road, Macon 31220.

Mrs. Chapman was born in Cochran, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Carl C. and Christine Holder Jones. She attended Vineville Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Chapman was the widow of Andrew Eugene Chapman.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline C. Phillips; granddaughter, Rhonda (Obie) Jones; great-grandchildren, Connor, Carson and Morgan Jones; sisters, Betty Gillis and Patricia (Charlton) Wood; brother, Patrick (Cherry) Jones; several nieces & nephews.
