Mary B. Sheffield

Mary B. Sheffield, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Haskins officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to donor’s favorite charity.

Mrs. Sheffield was born in Hattiesburg, MS to the late John Roy and Jeanette Leggett Bradford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde O. Sheffield and her son, Tommy Sheffield and brother, John R. Bradford. Mary was a former member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church, she served as the Church Librarian, involved with the WMU and the Joy Sunday School Class. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was a devoted Christian mother, sister, and aunt.

She is survived by her daughter; Mary Katherine Sheffield- Scroggs and son-in-law, Judd Scroggs of Macon, sister-in-law, Jeanne Bradford of LA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
