

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Rev. Parker Agnew will officiate. A reception will follow and burial will be private for family only in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Betty was born in Decatur, Georgia to Dr. and Mrs. James G. Lester. She attended Druid Hills H.S., graduating in 1948 and continued her education at Maryville College in Maryville, TN. She met her husband Bill Faulkner of Memphis, TN and they were married in February of 1954, after graduating in the summer of 1952.
Betty was a teacher, a wife, a homemaker, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She entertained family and friends, loved to read anywhere and everywhere especially on the beach at St. Simons Island, GA with her coffee. Her greatest love was her husband of 68 years, and certainly her family and the pets she had over the years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Bill Faulkner. Her nephew, John Faulkner of Oak Ridge, TN; her brother-in-law, Sam Faulkner of Boca Raton, FL; and her baby sister.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Lisa Faulkner Krommes (Earl) of Macon, GA and their children, (her grandchildren) Matthew Krommes of Warner Robins and Jennifer Krommes Dailey (Robert) of Macon, GA and their children (her great-grandchildren) Camden and Tate Dailey; her son, Dr. William Faulkner (Catherine) of Siler City, NC; her niece Dr. Lee Anne Oppenheimer (Jonathan) of Franklin, TN and her 3 sons. Cousins in Atlanta as well as Byron, GA.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Northminster Presbyterian Church of Macon, GA or the animal shelter of your choice. A very special heart-warming thank you to the staff and residents of The Oaks at Peake assisted living home.
