Mary Ann McClanahan

Mary Ann McClanahan, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 28, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00a.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with the Rev. Houston Berry officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care Options, 186 New St., Macon GA 31201.

Mary Ann was born in Louisville, KY to the late Bonnie and Marie Ann Smothers Hodges. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Howard Combs and Jay Alden McClanahan and three siblings. She was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving, mom, granny, great granny, sister and aunt.

She is survived by children, Carl (Maida) Combs, Jr. of Louisville, KY, Carol Combs (Bert) Sneed of Macon ,GA, Elizabeth “Jett” (Tracy) Combs of Louisville, KY, Earl Clayton (Denise) Combs of Macon, GA, David Wayne (Carey) Combs of Louisville, KY, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, siblings, Bennie Hodges, Betty Carpenter, Bonnie Griffin, Leona Rankin, Billy Hodges, Sandy Carbone, Sherry Leonard and Linda Armstrong and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
