

MACON – Mary J. Moore, 93, passed away Monday, June 07, 2010 at a local hospital. Private funeral services will be held Wednesday with the Rev. Debra Holt officiating. The family will meet friends from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to Stratford Academy, 6010 Peake Road, Macon 31220 or to Magnolia Manor, 200 Pierce Avenue, Macon 31204.
Mrs. Moore, wife of the late Francis Carson Moore, was born in Lawrenceville the daughter of the late Dallas and Bernice Jordan and had lived in Macon most of her life. She was in management with the pre-admissions department at the Medical Center of Central Georgia retiring after twenty-five years and later worked for fifteen years for Moore’s Furniture. Mrs. Moore was devoted to her family and was known to them as “MawMaw.” She was preceded in death by her son, Harry F. Moore, Sr.
Survivors include her son, Jack C. (Mildred) Moore, Sr. of Macon; four grandchildren, Mimi (Drew) Schilling, Hank (McKenzie) Moore and Ginny (Rob) Reeves, all of Macon and Jack (Dawn) Moore, Jr. of Bolingbroke; ten great grandchildren; her sister, Hilda Rhodes of Tucker; her brother, Robert Jordan of Snellville.
