Myrtle Louise Bedgood

MACON - Mrs. Myrtle L. "Girty" Bedgood passed away February 2, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2P.M. Friday, February 4, 2011 at Highland Hills Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Cass DuCharme and Rev. Steve Johnson will be officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 P.M. in the church parlor prior to the service.

Girty was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Fred Grant Bice and Pearl Justina Bice. She was the widow of J.E. "Buddy" Bedgood. Girty lived at Stone Brooke Suites in Gray where she lived life to the fullest. We are grateful for the love and friendship that she received while living at Stone Brooke. She was a long time member of Highland Hills Baptist Church and more recently Bradley Baptist Church in Gray, GA. Girty was retired from Mulberry Provision.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy (John) McCullough of Newnan, GA, Joy B. Wimberly of Perry, GA and Spencer Wimberly; grandchildren, Sean (Kimberly) Price, Shannon (Alan) Ewing, Anna Claire (Jon) Dando, and Whitney (Blake) Bledsoe; six great grandchildren, Rory Whitfield, Calum Ewing, Murphy Dando, Rachel Dando, Bryan Bledsoe, and Rhodes Bledsoe; sisters, Freddie Rowell, Martha McAuley, Barbara (Paul) Avant, and Becky (Herman) Stillwell; faithful caregiver, Lisa Williams. -Visit www.snowsmacon.com to express tributes.
