Rose Elizabeth Kosater, age 99, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. A rosary and visitation for Rose will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 Poplar St,, Macon, Georgia 31201. Burial will follow in Parkway Memorial Gardens, 720 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Rose was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio to the late Marie Maul Fuerst and Albert Fuerst, and was predeceased by her five siblings. Rose was widowed by her husband of 50 years, Edmund I. Kosater in 2001. After marrying, they moved to Warner Robins where they raised their family and she endeared herself to her community. Her greatest endeavor after her family was her volunteer work at Houston Medical Center where for over two decades she was Director of the Pink Lady Gift Shop. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 40 years, volunteering there in multiple capacities but mostly in the office and at the school before moving to Carlyle Place in Macon in 2004 and beginning her membership at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Rose will be remembered by her children, Edmund Gerard "Gerry" Kosater (Peggy) of Forsyth, Gregory "Greg" Marion Kosater (Leigh) of Ave Maria, Florida, and John Albert Kosater (Debbie) of Macon; 5 grandchildren, Austin Kosater (Cassidy), Westin Kosater, Hannah Tynion (Dan), Hayden Kosater, and Madison Kosater; 2 great-grandchildren, Nicholas Gerard and Bowen Daniel.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
