Shirley Arlene Coleman Honaker

COLUMBIA, SC – Shirley Arlene C. Honaker, 75, entered her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Charles Rose will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Honaker, wife of the late Clarence Edward Honaker, was born in Raysal, WV the daughter of the late Ted and Mary Mitchell Coleman. She was the mother of the late Emmett Honaker and Betty Honaker. Mrs. Honaker was a Minister and Evangelist who loved sharing the Gospel. She was a songwriter and sang with the New Blue Grass Gospel Connection.

Survivors include the family she adored, her daughters, Beverly Honaker Summers of Macon and Mary Honaker (Bart) Brock of Batavia, IL; her grandchildren, Melissa Honaker of Pennsylvania, Ray (Brande) Summers, Jacob Honaker and Keith Giza; her great grandchild: Haliegh Summers; her sisters, Alice Rose of Raysal, WV and Louise Beavers of Pelion, SC; her brother, Archie Coleman of Pelion, SC and many nieces and nephews.
