Tom O. Wagoner, 72, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church. Burial will be private for family only. Rev. Jimmy Towson and Mr. Al Breithaupt will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service in the sanctuary. Although flowers will be accepted, donations are appreciated in Tom’s memory to the following charitable organizations; Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or MERCER FUND, 1501 Mercer University Drive, Macon 31207.
Tom was born in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mary Ellen Britt Wagoner and Milton Tom Wagoner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Wofford. Tom’s legacy of leadership and service to the community of Macon was evident throughout his life. He served on many professional, civic and charitable boards during his distinguished career. Tom was also a United States Army Drill Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Tom was Founder and CEO of Core Management Resources Group, Inc. and found great joy in his work. Tom’s professional mission will continue through his family, senior leadership team, and dedicated staff at Core Management Resources. Tom was passionate about his family, golf, politics and enjoying life to the fullest. He constantly strived for the best in himself and inspired others with his quick wit, sharp acumen and generous spirit. He will be lovingly remembered by all those who knew him.
Tom is survived by his wife, Glenda Raffield Wagoner of Macon; children, Bryan Wagoner (Rhonda) of Macon, Chandler Wagoner of Warner Robins; step-children, Bryon Heath Arnold (Samantha) of Jacksonville, FL and Kellie N. Arnold of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Peyton B. Evans and Hudson W. French; siblings, Barbara Collier, Patricia Wagoner, Robert Wagoner, and Sarah Sellers; numerous nieces and nephews.
