

Vivian “Sister” Epps Garrett, 91, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at a local nursing care facility. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Mrs. Garrett’s grandson, M. Wayne Merritt officiating. The family will meet friends from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono on Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation Georgia Chapter, Suite 200, 2970 NW. Peachtree Road, Atlanta, GA 30305 or to the Lupus Foundation of America, Suite 101, 1850 Lake Park Drive, Smyrna, GA 30080.
Mrs. Garrett, wife of the late Layton Garrett, was a native of Macon and the daughter of the late Robert Edward and Emma Mary Land Epps. She was a graduate of an Atlanta High School and was former owner of a local convenience store and was of the Methodist Faith. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert H. Fullman.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandra J. Fullman and Patricia Garrett Peurifoy, both of Macon; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
