

William N. Meyer, 68, on Friday, June 12, 2015 went home to be with his Lord and Savior after a valiant two year fight with Leukemia. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Hunter Stevenson will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 AM Monday in the Gathering Place of the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to United In Pink, 102-A Preston Court, Macon, GA 31210 or First Presbyterian Church, 682 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Mr. Meyer was born in Miami, Florida the son of the late Rachel Schoonover Meyer and John Leonard Meyer, Jr. He worked in the cement industry for 37 years in Florida, and most recently in Georgia. Before retirement he was Vice President/General Manager of Southern Aggregates. Mr. Meyer loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and playing on the lake. He took pride in his yard and his 1928 Model A. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as Deacon.
Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rebecca Harris Meyer of Macon; daughters, Amy Meyer Ebker (Keith) of St. Louis, MO and Heather Meyer Swisher (Robert) of Longwood, FL; grandchildren, Chelsea Ebker, Virginia Ebker, Amy Swisher, and Abigail Swisher; sister, Pauline Meyer of Kennesaw, GA.
