William H. Watson (Billy)

William H. Watson (Billy), 92, of Macon, Georgia entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road in Macon. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Born in Macon, Billy was the son of the late G. T. Watson and Louise Campbell Watson. He was preceded in death by Jewell Sandefur Watson, his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Hinkle Watson, his second wife of 17 years; two siblings, Tom Watson, and Anne Watson Johnson; grandson, Ryan Lee Cummings; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Watson.

Mr. Watson was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church for more than 50 years where he served faithfully in church leadership. He was a deacon, Sunday School teacher and church treasurer for many years. He was recently elected Deacon Emeritus.

He was a founding co-owner of Oxygen Service Company, a welding supply and medical gas supplier to multiple locations across Georgia. He was a member of the Macon Exchange Club where he served a term as President.

He is survived by his children, Karen Watson King (Mark), Julie Watson Cummings (Garry), David Watson (Tonya), and Robby Watson (Jennifer); Grandchildren, Jessica Williamson (Brannon), Stephanie Purse (Damian), Amanda Cooling (John Marc), Rachel Sheffield (Philip), Tyler Cummings (Katie), Heather Benton (Kyle), Benjamin Watson (Erika), Emma Watson and Aubree Watson and eleven great Grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Baptist Village and Visiting Angels for the great care that was given to Mr. Billy in his time of need.
