away on July 25, 2014 with his family by his side. Ed was born on February 5, 1932 in
Brooklyn, NY to the late James and Mary (Convey) McGoey. He graduated from Pace
University. Ed was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special
Agent, retiring in 1982. He was a parishioner of Saint Margaret Church in Madiso, CT.
In addition to his wife, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his sister Mary Shulman,
his son: James McGoey and his wife Dawn; daughters: Elizabeth McGoey and Jennifer O’Hara and her
husband Kevin; grandchildren: Heather, Brendan and Faith O’Hara and Katie, Jimmy
and Jake McGoey as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased
by his brother James McGoey. Memorial Services will begin at 12 Noon on Wed, July 30, 2014, at Saint
Margaret Church in Madison, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior
Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
