Evan Massini

Evan Massini, 20, of Madison, passed away November 18, 2011 in Colorado in a snowboarding accident. He was born October 15, 1991 in New Haven CT to Edward and Kathleen (Mooney) Massini. Evan is survived by parents, brother, Mark Massini of New Haven, paternal grandparents, Edwin and Margaret Massini of Madison, uncle, Michael Mooney of Orlando and cousins; Thomas, Alexander, Nicole and Kelly Mooney. Evan is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Eugene and Helen Mooney.

Evan graduated from Daniel Hand High School in Madison class of 2009. He was a junior at the University of Colorado in Boulder, studying Environmental Science. An avid snowboarder, he had a passion for the outdoors and photography.

Evan influenced many people. A blessing to his friends, he was always there to help in difficult situations. Remembering his wonderful smile and the spring in his step, we will carry his spirit in our hearts forever.

Evan’s life would seem too short to many, but for those who were touched by him, understood that the quality of existence far exceeds quantity of time in which you live it.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Friday, November 25, 2011 at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd. Madison.
