

Gertrude (Trudy) Hunt (nee Tully), of Madison, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2013, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Trudy was the beloved wife of Peter Hunt for 56 years. She was the devoted mother of Mary Mullin, Peter (Deborah), Elizabeth (Brian) Murray, Diane (Michael) Corjulo, Catherine (Martin) Warten and Terence (Mary), and the adored grandmother of Brendan, Patrick, Megan and Erin Mullin; Rachel, Kristen, Abigail and Ryan Hunt; Molly, Kevin and Katie Murray; Michael and Matthew Corjulo; Melissa and Kevin Warten; Michaela and Marcella Hunt. She is survived by her loving sister, Clare Davis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Trudy was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Sweeney.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, she resided in Rockville Centre, New York, for over 30 years and in Madison, Connecticut for 22 years. Over the years, she was employed as a manager at Sportset Racquetball Club and Sears Roebuck in Rockville Centre, as well as at On Consignment and Everlastings in Madison. Until November, she was employed at the office of Richard Gorecki, DPM in Madison.
A wake will be held on Friday, December 27th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison, Connecticut. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church, 24 Academy Street, Madison, Connecticut.
