TRAILSMITH, Mark Mark TrailSmith, of Madison, CT, beloved husband and best friend of his wife Pamela TrailSmith and beloved father and best friend of his son Matthew TrailSmith and daughter Larisa TrailSmith passed away on October 7, surrounded by his family. Mark was the son of Frank and Eleanor Smith of Portland, CT. In addition to his wife and children, Mark is survived by his mother Eleanor Smith, his brothers Gary Trail, Craig Smith and David Smith, his sister-in-laws Terry and Paula Smith, his nieces Becca, Emily, and Katie and his nephew Andrew. Marks passion rested solely in the love of his family, friends, and Labrador Retrievers. While medical research was his profession, Mark was also an avid outdoor enthusiast, skilled craftsman and helping hand to anyone that was in need. Mark was a good man, well loved, and he will be deeply missed. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Wednesday, (October 13, 2010) at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church in Madison. Friends may call on Tuesday, (October 12, 2010) from 4- 8 p.m. at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison. Should friends desire, contributions in Mark's memory may be made to the Loon Preservation Society of New Hampshire, the Connecticut Food Bank, or to the charity of their choice.
