Patrick F O'Keeffe

Patrick O’Keeffe of Madison, Connecticut passed away surrounded by his family and friends at the St. Raphael’s Hospital in New Haven on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He was 54. Patrick was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 4, 1959, the son of the late James and Florence O’Keeffe. His family later relocated to Madison, CT where he graduated high school from Daniel Hand. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BS degree in Economics. Much of his career was spent as an Insurance agent, and in various positions held in sales and in managerial roles.

He was the devoted father to daughter, Meghan of West Haven, CT and is survived by two sisters, Kathleen O’Keeffe of Annandale, NJ and Mary Durosko and husband Philip of Glastonbury. In addition, he leaves behind several nieces and cousins.

Patrick will be remembered for spreading his humor and laughter, and his ability to add levity to any and all situations. He will live on in the loving memories shared by family and friends. A special thank you goes to the staff at St. Raphael’s hospital for their care and support.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:30pm at Swan Funeral Home in Madison., CT. A Catholic mass will be scheduled at a later date.
