Ethel H. Gurschke Coddington

Mrs. Ethel H. Coddington went to be with the Lord October 9, 2013 at the age of 97 where she has been reunited with her beloved husband, the late Harvey Coddington who passed away in 1987. They will be celebrating their 79th Wedding Anniversary in Heaven on October 18th. Ethel was born on August 1, 1916 in Maywood, Illinois to Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Minnie (Korngiebel) Gurschke. Dear mother of Melvin (the late Betty) Coddington, of Roseville, MI; Donald (Shelly) Coddington of Mesick, MI; Louis (Sue) Coddington of Madison Heights, MI; Ernest (Ann) Coddington of Madison Heights, MI; Geraldine Sims of Ferndale, MI; Rodger (Amelia) Coddington of Hazel Park, MI; Michael Coddington of Tucson, AZ; William (Lisa) Coddington of Royal Oak, MI; and the late Henry Coddington. Ethel is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. She has been blessed by the Lord who knows best all of the others that have called her Ma, Grandma, and Aunt. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Visitation will take place Saturday and Sunday from 3-8p.m. at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd. (S. of 13 Mile Rd.) Madison Heights. Addition visitation will take place on Monday from 10a.m. until time of funeral service 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley, MI.
