I remember when Fred pitched for the Port Arthur Seahawks in the Class B Gulf Coast League.  I believe it was 1953.  He signed an autograph for me a couple of times. I was 10 then and he was kind to youngsters.   A very nice man.  May he rest in peace.

  I have been Mr. Pollock's mailman  for some time. I will miss talking  to him. A very  nice fella. I will think about  him everyday walking  up his steps.

I remember many, many hours in the Madison pool with Mike many years ago when Mr. Pollock was there with flip-flops and brush cut.
Mr. Pollock reminded me and sounded like my Dad who was also from Tennessee.
He was my High School teacher, football coach, a solid mentor and a better person. My deepest sympathies to his family.

I well remember the excitement on Swan Avenue when the Pollocks, Jones’s, and Eagles came to visit “Miss Nancy.”  Summer was an exciting time for us when there were visitors next door.   
I am so sorry for your loss.  Fred was the same age as my mother. She died in 2020 a month before her 92nd birthday so she would have been 95 this year, too.  She was always happy to receive Fred and Nancy’s Christmas cards with photos.   

Cherish memories of your father, and take care of your mother. Holidays just aren’t the same once your parents are no longer here.

On behalf of Carla and myself, we are so saddened by Fred's passing.  He was such wonderful teacher, and more importantly, a wonderful person.  Fred was such a mentor to all of us young teachers that worked with him at Madison.  I will surely miss seeing him at the golf course and at breakfast on Tuesday mornings.  Our condolences go out to his entire family.

I used to attend church at Van Dyke Church of Christ with Mr Fred Pollock he always loved it when I prayed for the veterans and those who went off to war during the years our country was at war with Afghanistan and Iraq I remember once he gave me some money so I could get some lunch at Burger King I believe it was I'll never forget that he was a great man and a wonderful friend I will miss him dearly.
