

Jim proudly served his country as a Navy man from 1973-1977, on board USS Gray-1054, along with time in Vietnam. Following his military service, he built a career as a salesman, earning a reputation for honesty and integrity that defined both his professional and personal life.
Jim had a passion for the outdoors and took great pride in keeping his lawn pristine. He loved golfing, skiing, swimming with the kids, and enjoying a margarita. Above all, Jim treasured his family and his greatest joy was his daughter Lexi. She was the light of his life. He also loved spending time with his sisters Jeanne and Pam for their movie nights filled with laughter and love.
Jim's faith was an important part of his life, and he was a dedicated member of Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, MI. His strong spirit, unwavering integrity, and love for his family will be deeply missed.
Jim was a beloved husband for 25 years to Christine; cherished father to Lexi; dearest brother to Jacqualine Spencer, Pamela (James) Untiedt, Jeanne (the late Jake) Spencer-Graham, and Thomas (Christy) Spencer; loving uncle to Jennifer, Laura, Jacqualine, Emily and Lauren; wonderful great-uncle to Christian, Avery, Luke, and Hailey.
The family will greet guests, Saturday, May 17th, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of his memorial service at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 37635 Dequindre Rd., Troy, MI 48083.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to SarahCare of Lakeside or directly to the family to support his beloved wife and daughter at this difficult time.
