Janet A. Pope

She was married to her husband, Edward A. Pope on April 11, 1964 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson, Michigan. She and Ed traveled the world during his time in the Army and lived abroad for many years in Germany, Iran, as well as various places across the United States. Wherever they were living she created a home for her family. They remained devoted to each other until Edward's death on November 11, 2008.

Loving mother to Joseph (Sue) Pope, daughter Ann (Dan) Tominello, nana to Kristi, Adam, Kyle, Brooke, and Bailey Mackey. She is survived by her sister Loretta Piggott, sister-in-law Diane (Earl) Wheeler, and sister-in-law Diane Pope along with many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister Sharon (James) Webb, and brothers Joseph and Michael.

Janet will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 at 1:30 PM. The family invites everyone to lunch following the committal prayers at the cemetery.
