Jack served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer from 1961 to 1967. After his service, he took pride in owning and operating a successful trucking company. He was a hardworking and determined man who took great pride in his career. Beyond work, Jack found joy in traveling with his beloved Lynn, creating lasting memories together on their adventures. He was also deeply involved in the Elks Club, where he formed lifelong friendships and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Jack was a beloved husband to the late Frances Lynn Hunn for 57 years before her passing in December 2023; cherished father to Dana (The late Todd Nicholson) Hunn & Jason (Jennifer) Hunn; loving grandfather to, John, Parker, Dawson, and Jaxson; dearest brother to the late James John (Patsy) Hunn, Robert Paul Hunn and Marion Kay Leon; wonderful uncle to Lori, Bunny, Steven, Brian, Brad, Robert Paul II, Allison, Pamela, Alison, Chris, and Jennifer along with many Great - Nieces and Nephews.
A visitation for John will be held Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Lodge of Sorrows service at 7:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
The family will greet guests Friday, February 21, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral at 10:30 AM, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
Immediately following the funeral service, a committal service with military honors will occur at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442.
