John R. Stover age 86 died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday April 2, 2011. John was a resident of Sterling Heights, Michigan, he was born March 14, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan. John was predeceased by his wife the late Elma (2007). John is survived by his children, Cynthia (Kenneth) heck, John Stover, James Stover and Jeff (Sharon) Stover. John is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Amy, Laura, Karen, Nancy, John, Samantha, Jack and Katie. Family will receive friends Saturday 10:30 a,m until time of memorial service 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Troy 6363 Livernois, Troy, Michigan 48098. John is a veteran of Marine Corp. WW 11, he graduated from the University of Michigan '51, an electrical engineer and general manager for Champion Spark Plug Company of Detroit and a school board member of Chippewa Valley Schools.
