She was born on November 11, 1943, in Hazel Park, MI. She is preceded in death by her beautiful and loving daughter, Valerie Lynn Wrubel Russell, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in February 2019.
Norma was also preceded in death by both her parents, Madge and Modesto (Michael) Suarez, along with her brothers Richard and Ronald Suarez, sister Becky Smith, and George Suarez.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Daniel A. Wrubel Sr., her daughters Nina Wrubel (Cathy), Daniel Wrubel Jr., Deanna Wrubel, and son-in-law Gary Russell.
She was a loving Nannie to 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. And an Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Norma will be missed dearly by her loving family, friends, and wonderful neighbors.
Our mom, she was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and her unconditional love for her family.
Norma was a Eastern Star, a talented hairdresser, and a crafter. She enjoyed making ceramics, that she shared with her children.
Funeral services will be held at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home in Madison Heights, MI. February 27th, 2025 from 3:00-8:00 PM. Funeral services will be at St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church in Troy, MI on February 28th, 2025, Instate at 9:30 AM and Mass at 10:00 AM.
