It was sad and shocking news to hear that our friend and associate Ross Ruehle had passed. He was full of life and much, much too young to leave this world. Ross was a great employee of J.R. Thompson Company for 14 years. He was an extremely talented copywriter and a master with words. He created award-winning works but his proudest role was that of editor of Mopar Magazine, a publication of Chrysler Corporation. Ross was a true professional and a kind and passionate gentleman. He was mild-mannered and always pleasant to work. His wry and witty sense of humor often provided comic relief. Ross spoke lovingly of his family. His wife Mary, sons Patrick and Andrew, and father Richard were his life, so it's very heartbreaking to know that Ross is no longer with them. May the family find peace and comfort knowing that Ross is looking out for them and cherish the many happy memories he leaves behind.

I am so sorry to see this news, Ross was such a nice man. I hope his sons know how much he loved them and how proud he was of them. He always made time to talk about them.

Ross was our friend at Albion College, where he won the 1982 Senior Writing Prize. His kindness, humor, heart and friendship during the season that was college will always be remembered. My heartfelt prayers go out to Mary, his sons and his family. Know that you will see him again one day in Heaven. He will always be with you in your hearts. Peace to all of you as you honor the life of a wonderful person whose middle name really has been thought of my many as Heart.

The look of joy and pride on Dick's face whenever his son was near is a vivid memory from our M.O.G. days.  It seemed to be a remarkable bond they shared. It must be an unimaginable loss.

I graduated from high school with Ross and remember him dearly.  My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and sons.

Mary, I am so sorry to learn of Ross' passing.  He was indeed a kind soul, a very rare gift.  May God hold you and the boys, and Dick and Sevilla as well, very close, for as long as you need.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of Ross' passing.  He and Mary have been wonderful friends or ours for many, many years. He was a wonderful writer, a kind and truly loving father, and a warm and devoted son. I will miss his friendship and conversation.

Ross was such a kind person and a gentle soul. We worked together only briefly but I could tell what a big heart he had and how very much he adored his family. May the Lord watch over them and offer comfort in their loss. Though I knew Ross for just a while I will remember him always.

I was very saddened and shocked to hear of Ross's passing. I worked with Ross for many years at J.R.Thompson and always enjoyed working with him. My heart goes out to Mary, Patrick and Andrew in this tough time.

Ross coached my son Steven in Basketball last fall.  Even though his son was not on the team, he volunteered and gave his heart to our boys.  Truly a kind and gentle soul.  Sorry for your loss, and my prayer's go out to your family.

I was saddened to hear of Ross' passing; he was such an amazing man. We lost touch years ago; we met in the early 1980s while working together at the Monday Morning Newspapers. May you and your family find comfort in those around you.

I am so saddened to hear of Ross' passing.  My son was also on the basketball team that Ross, along with Andrew, coached last year.  Ross was a wonderful coach to the boys.  He was patient and caring and tried to pass along his love of the game.  He and Andrew were a fantastic coaching team, and they provided a great experience for a group of boys that may not have otherwise been able to play the game.  My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Ross coached my son Ryan in Basketball last year.   He was at the Community Center one day when he heard that a certain team did not have a coach.  He then volunteered to coach because he didn't like the thought of kids not being able to play.  He did not have any of his own kids on the team.  He was a wonderful coach and it takes a wonderful man to do something like that.

I had the pleasure of working with Ross during my time at the J.R. Thompson Company. I recall that he was a passionate writer who definitely had his own vision as to the direction of a given story or piece, but was always willing to collaborate in order to get the best result for the client. My heart goes out to Mary, Andrew and Patrick and the heartbreaking loss they must be experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
