WWII Veteran and Proud member of a Madison Heights Fellowship Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. It is there where he touched many lives and spread the word of the Lord. William cherished his family, especially his daughters and his grandchildren. He was a fantastic Papaw and didn't hesitate to show his grandchildren the competitive side of him during activities that were held at family gatherings. William was an avid golfer, and loved to watch sports. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
William is survived by his two loving Daughters, Brenda (Richard) Rowe & Mary (Bill) Huffman; Grandchildren, Diane (Robert) Reeves, William Rowe, David Huffman, Robert (Heather) Rowe, Richard Rowe Jr., Lisa Lay, Larry Huffman & Melissa Champagne; Great Grandchildren, Rachel (Mario) Suarez, Tyler Lay, Brendon Lay, Brett Lay, Madison Rowe, Charlotte Rowe Hubbard, & Ally Rowe; Siblings, Jack (Shelby) Davis & Joann Bays, as well as many Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Myrtle Davis; His parents, Reed & Elizabeth; Siblings, Reed C. Davis, Joyce Barnes, Harold Davis, Lowell Davis, J.L. Davis, & Ronnie Davis.
A visitation for William will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
The family will greet guest on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at Edward Swanson and Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Rd, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071.
Entombment will occur immediately after the Funeral Service at Roseland Park Cemetery, 29001 Woodward Ave., Berkley, Michigan 48072.
