

Born on May 15, 1942, in Lynchburg, VA, he was the son of the late Alfred Huff, Sr and Elsie Bryant of Madison Heights, VA. He is proceeded in death by several family members, most of the Amherst County, VA area.
Alfred, known to most as “Big Al” was a very knowledgeable and loving person, with many passions in his life. Of his greatest passions was his love for motor vehicles, from diagnosing and fixing them, to collecting memorabilia. He enjoyed the outdoors immensely, especially gardening and fishing. Alfred most notably worked at Babcock & Wilcock (BWXT) for 35 years, where he retired. In addition to his years at BWXT, he followed in his fathers footsteps, serving in the United States Army in the 7th Army, HQ Company of the 72nd Artillery Group, where he served overseas in Germany. He was honorably discharged, obtaining the rank of E-5 Sergeant prior to his discharge.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Huff; Son, Allen Huff and wife Tammy Huff; Daughter Lynn Collier and husband Daniel Collier; Grandsons Thomas Cook, Jeremy Huff Sr and wife Crystal Huff, Chadley Sims, and Granddaughter Carrie Huff; as well as Great Grandchildren Jeremy Jr and Lillian.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel in his memory, with Pastor John M. Boyles officiating.
