Aline Harriman Hedge

Born on May 2, 1934 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Maynard Ralph Harriman and Kate Jones Harriman. After graduating from high school, Aline went to work as a secretary for Bushong Motors. She later worked for Burlington Mills in Dublin before moving to Lynchburg, where she worked for 12 years at the Lynchburg VA Employment office. A faithful Christian, she was a member of Tree of Life Ministries and was active in Blue Ridge Street Church of God, especially in working with youth ministry.

Aline is survived by her sister Elizabeth Hughes of Monroe and sister-in-law Shirley Hedge Mulford and husband Ron of Hebron, Md., as well as numerous other family members and friends, including nephews Jim and Rick Hughes, Jon Petruso and Bruce Mulford, and nieces Kathy Hughes, Ann Bezner, Debra Bolen and Karen Schott. She is preceded in death by her brother Maynard Ralph Harriman.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Don Webb officiating. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m.
