“Auddie Odd Ball”

Audrey Michelle Bryan Payne, 25, of Madison Heights, died Friday, August 12, 2011 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Carlos Montez Payne.

Born November 8, 1985 in Mobile, AL, she was a daughter of Arliss Clayton Bryan, Jr. and JoAnn Hansen Bryan. She was a devoted homemaker, a loving daughter, and a forgiving sister. Audrey was a “soccer mom”, and a child care giver, who always put children first.

In addition to her husband and parents, Audrey is survived by two sons, Chauncey and Jayden Payne; one brother, Arliss Bryan, III and wife, Stacy of Madison Heights; four sisters, Delores Bryan and husband, Leon Carter of Amherst, Sabra Miller and husband, Mark of Faulconerville, Heather Gallier and husband, Rodney, Jr. and Stephanie Bryan, both of Madison Heights; her grandmother, Joan Childress of Madison Heights; nieces and nephews, Tre’, Jasmine, Blake, Trevor, Alex, Arliss IV, Taylor, Hailey, Laci, Ariel, Chloe, Jerzey, and Jordan; mother-in-law, Penny Payne of Lynchburg; sister-in-law, Essence Payne of Washington, DC and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2011 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Witt officiating. The family will receive friends, following the service until 8:30 p.m.
