Carl Wilson Burch

Carl Wilson Burch, 86, of Madison Heights, passed away, Friday, November 18, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Jessica Nuckols Burch. .

Born September 25, 1936 in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Lovie Hansford Burch and Mary Humphreys Burch. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Wright; a brother, Earl Burch, and a great-grandson, Carson. He was a member of the Oronoco Church of the Brethren.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Burch is survived by his sons, C.W. Burch (Mae) of Amherst and Mike Burch (Kathy) of Lynchburg; two brothers, Wesley Burch and Hansford Burch, both of Amherst; five grandchildren, Melissa Cariaga (Jeremie), Cindy Burch, Katie Carter (Brandon), Christina Burch (Cody), and C.W. Burch, Jr. five great grandchildren, Joe, Mason, Alex, Remington, and Bryleigh and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Mr. Burch’s life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the funeral home and at other times, at the residence.
