

Born in West Virginia, May 15, 1928, he was the son of the late Hobert Cox and Sadie Reedy Cox. Carl was a retired Engineer from the South Oaks Hospital in Long Island, NY. He proudly served his country in the US Army and was a veteran of both WWII and Korea. He was a member of the Elon Raritan Club and Elon Presbyterian Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Gregory Cox, Wayne Cox, Pamela C. Luscher and Carlene C. Badini; seven step-children, Nelson Marty, Edward Marty, Yvonne M. DeJesus, Linda M. Lipari, Virginia M. Richards, Arlene M. Polizzi and Richard Marty; 29 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
One son, Jeffery Cox preceded him in death.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Elon Presbyterian Church with the Rev. D. Barry Tucker officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 16.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
