

Born in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Charlie Berkley PerDieu and Lena Martin PerDieu Gross. Charlie was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry after 35 years of service and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was known by his children as a lecturer, he would spend time with them and others he cared about explaining in detail how things should be in an effort to teach.
He is survived by one daughter, Lynn P. Cash and her husband Mike of Monroe; two sons, Lawrence B. PerDieu of Madison Heights and Charlie B. PerDieu, III and his wife Jenny of Chester Gap, VA; one sister, Martha P. Blondino of Naola; eight grandchildren, Scott Staton, Grand PerDieu, Belle PerDieu, Sam PerDieu, Clint Snead, Clark Snead, Ashley Witt and Cody Cash; five great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Briarwood Memorial Garden with Troy Simmons officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
