Born November 28, 1954, in Dover NJ, he was a son of the late Charles Augustus Moore and Phyllis Masino Moore. He was the former owner/operator of Kings Cafe, in Amherst, where he served a mean tuna melt, and was a member of Tree of Life Ministries.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles P. “Chuck” Moore and wife Betty, of Madison Heights, and Mark W. Moore and wife Gail, of Amherst, 7 nieces and nephews, Chuck Moore, Louie Shann, Connie Moore, Nicole Woody, Jonathon Moore, Amanda Abrams, and Jessica Phaup., several great-nieces, and great-nephews, and many who knew him as Uncle Dave.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, by the Rev. Mike Dodson Sr. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
