Dawn Marie Dodgion Maddox

Dawn Marie Maddox, 51, of Gladstone, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of David Wayne Maddox. Born April 26, 1959 in Ephrata, WA, she was the daughter of Donald M. Dodgion and Peggy Woody Dodgion.

Dawn was a homemaker and a friend and attendee of the Amherst Church of God.

Dawn was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Ann Maddox; one son, David Jason Maddox; one brother, Rocky Dodgion; paternal grandparents, George and Mabel Dodgion; and maternal grandparents, Bennie and Ruby Woody; and in-laws, Oswald and Pearl Maddox and T.W. and Cabel Wright.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dawn is survived by one son, Christopher Wayne Maddox and his wife, Amanda of Longmont, CO; one sister, Deborah Deel of Rustburg; two brothers, Darrell Dodgion and his wife, Pam of Madison Heights and David Dodgion and his wife, Annie of Monroe.

A funeral service will be conducted, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Paul Day officiating. Interment will follow at the Evans Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence.
