Born on August 17, 1949, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Alfred R. Tyree Sr. and Dora V. Tyree. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Reynolds Sr.; two brothers, Alfred Tyree Jr.; Ronald Tyree (Brenda); and her sister, Patricia Manspile (Jimmy).
Diane graduated from Amherst County High School and worked for GE, Eriksson and Frito Lay throughout her career prior to her retirement. She loved shopping, enjoyed a good cup of coffee, her beloved dogs and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Ronald E. Reynolds Jr. (Sarah); her grandchildren, Sydney Tuck (Jaret) and Maryn Reynolds; one great granddaughter, Blakey; brother, Tommy Tyree (Nancy); sister-in-laws, Edna Allen (Frank) and Robin Tyree; brother-in-law Larry Reynolds (Kathy); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Linda Sue Childress, Edna Allen and Midge Harper for their kindness and help and Centra Hospice Nurse Brooke Harris, RN; and Roberta West, CNA for their excellent care and dedication.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
