Doree Denise Carrow

She was born in Fulton County, Georgia on December 14, 1953. She was the daughter of late Doree Delores Mason and the late Charles Sonny Kirby.

Denise retired from Lyn-Cag Head Start, where she was a school bus driver for all of "HER" kids for many years. She later transitioned to a family service worker before retiring. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, Meme, sister, niece and friend.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by her husband Danny Ray Carrow and brother Wayne Holland and many other beloved relatives.

Denise is survived by her daughter, Donna Michelle Woody and son (Roger) of Madison Heights; her sister Kimberly Mason Boone (Kemp) of Portsmouth; sister Corrine Kirby of Temple, GA; sister Pam Cobb of Temple GA; brother Tony Kirby of Temple, GA; brother-in-law Roger Lee Carrow; three grandchildren, Jason Brooks Davis Jr, (Emily), Courtney Nicole Davis and Haley Michelle Garner; two great-grandchildren Jason Brooks Davis III and Kabari Jordyn Smith. Nephews Taylor, Kameron, Gerry and Joey: and one niece Susan. And many other relatives and dear friends.

A memorial service will be conducted July 2, 2024 at 12pm, Lighthouse Baptist Church in Madison Heights with Rev Carey Forbes officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

The family would like to send a thank you to Centra Hospice for the great care, compassion and comfort shown not only to Denise but the family and friends as well. And an extra special thank you to Amber Pugh for her genuine, caring and loving nature while going above and beyond to help make sure Denise was comfortable. Amber, you were truly and angel on earth serving another angel on earth, while she was preparing for her heavenly home!
