 Obituario de Eleanor Sale Hicks
Eleanor Sale Hicks, 90, of Madison Heights passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at Guggenheimer Health and Rehab. She was the wife of the late Raymond Glen Hicks. Born in Amherst County, October 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Bryant William Sale and Nora Burch Sale. She was retired from Amherst County Schools where she served as a Bus driver and aide for over forty years. She was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Raymond G. Hicks, Jr.; two brothers, Willie Boy Sale and Phillip Sale and two sisters, Frances Cunningham and Peggy Eagle. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon H. Tomlin and her husband Ed of Amherst; two brothers, James Sale of TN and Charles Sale of Lynchburg; two sisters, Helen S. Dooley of Lynchburg and Betty S. Cofflin of Forest; four grandchildren, Vanessa Fox and her husband Chuck, Jennifer Tuggle and her husband Barry, Christy Hurley and her husband Mark and Amanda Davis and her husband Mark and eight great grandchildren, Olivia Fox, Hunter Hurley, Cameron Fox, Colby Davis, Claire Tuggle, Parker Hurley, Cayla Davis and William Hurley. The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the nurses and staff of Fairmont Crossing, Lynchburg General and Guggenheimer for the wonderful care they provided. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at Briarwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. Mark Tinsley officiating.
